Beach Rules
The beach rules aren’t meant to be restrictive—they’re here to make sure one person’s actions don’t spoil the experience for others and to allow the beach attendant to complete their work within their 8-hour shift. The rules are important, and access to beach service can be withdrawn if the rules are broken or if beachgoers disrupt others or the staff.
- Weather permitting, Beach Service will be available between 9:15 am and 4:00 pm.
- Chairs will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Groups that want more than 2 lounge chairs pushed together must go in the back row so they don’t block the view for others.
- No tents, personal chairs, or umbrellas are permitted within our flagged private beach service area. Guests are welcome to take their own gear seaward of the flagged beach service area. (Exceptions: People with disabilities and baby tents under 3 feet tall)
- Umbrellas are for sun, not rain or wind. Umbrellas will be lowered if there is rain, lightning nearby, or a risk that the umbrellas will be dislodged.
- The chairs must remain where placed by the beach attendant.
- No smoking on the beach.
- Music must be kept at a volume that other beachgoers cannot hear.
- No pets are allowed on the beach. Service dogs, with a service animal badge, are welcome. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their service dog.
- No glass of any kind is allowed on the beach.
- Do not feed seagulls or other wildlife.
- Guests should pick up their own trash and fill in the holes they make.
- Do not disturb sea turtles or sea turtle nests.
- Access to the private beach and beach service is provided as a revokable license. By entering the beach, guests agree to be bound by these rules. Point of Rocks will revoke this license if guests are disruptive, challenge the beach attendant, and/or refuse to comply with these beach rules.
